The person behind Zentreya doesn't treat Zentreya as just a character, they fully present themselves as a real life person and invite people to have parasocial relationships with them.

It's possible that this person handed over the Zentreya identity to someone else, or that they're not out as trans and don't want to claim a trans identity.

I guess the reason I think it matters is because Zentreya presents as having a (cis) woman's perspective and vulnerabilities in society.
