Normalize asking off work on Wednesday to go see Frankenstein at the local art-house theater & take a hike by yourself, solely because you have vacation time to burn & Guillermo del Toro is amazing & hiking is good for the soul.

To me, parenting is — without a doubt — the single greatest joy on earth.

But if you’re an ardent fan of reading more than 2 pages of a book at a time, or if you greatly enjoy having adult conversations made up of uninterrupted sentences, I don’t necessarily recommend it.

Normalize:

~ embracing your current age,
~ looking forward to the next decade, &
~ forcefully rejecting the boring, stale belief that our best years are behind us & we should resent that we, just like every other being that ever lived, are ephemeral.

Enjoy your time here! 🌎

If a thing is artificial,
then it is not intelligent.

Intelligence, by definition,
can not be artificial.

What is human
is what is enduring
is what is valuable
is what is real.

And we are,
above all,
human.

I believe that someday, before my kids are grown, a reckoning will take place. The hyper-corrupt Trump & all his complicit sycophants will finally be brought low by the power of the judicial system, and by the righteous fury of we the people.

I *choose* to believe that is true.

“AI, particularly generative AI, I am not interested... I’m 61 & I hope to be able to remain uninterested in using it at all until I croak… Somebody wrote me an email, said: ‘What is your stance on AI?’ & my answer was very short. I said, ‘I’d rather die'."

Here's a fun movie fact. The official title of the uber-popular Japanese anime film that made $100 million in 10 days of U.S. release is...

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no
Yaiba – The Movie: Infinity
Castle – Part 1: Akaza Returns

3 COLONS & 2 DASHES IN 1 TITLE!

One of my favorite words is scuttlebutt.

Scuttlebutt. Scuttlebutt.
Scuttlebutt.

Scuttle

Autumn is the most glorious
season ever created.

(Except for spring,
obviously.)

Dismount the news cycle.
It has no functioning brakes.

I decked out my coffee mug with some radical leftist propaganda. I like to drink ayahuasca tea from it while teaching atheism & Marxist ideology to trans toddlers, and organizing Antifa-sponsored rallies supporting embattled anarchist Jimmy Kimmel.

It’s boring, but it’s my life.

I offer you this humble reminder as you head into the weekend after an unusually tragic — and toxic — week on social media.

Stay human(e), everyone.

It blows my mind that this incisive quote is from the screenplay of… wait for it…

I wonder how many people in the course of human history have tripped over their cat in the late-night or early-morning darkness at the top of the stairs and fallen to their death.

I always get a kick out of "Free Wi-Fi" signs.

Wow, thanks! I'm so used to paying a fee to use wi-fi at hotels and coffee shops! How kind of you to let me access it for no charge! Is using the bathroom free too?

Fun fact: If you add "And it's not all that close" to the end of your statement about a thing you think is the best, your thing automatically wins.

Evangelical terms I am most allergic to
after being a '90s youth group kid:

3. "Father God, we just..."
2. "Minister to them"
1. "Fellowship"

*breaks out in hives*

"Integral" is a word.
"Intricate" is also a word.

"Intrical" is not a word.

ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER.
