If I had that kind of money, every day would be like an episode of Somebody Feed Phil.

This article was a nice thing to wake up to. I wasn’t familiar with Dower but am now listening to Music for Retirement Villages, Circa 2050 and liking it a lot. Lots of listening ahead as I check out the music that inspired him. Interesting to read that Jobim was a big influence on MfRV.

Combustor is probably my most-used effects app.

I’m not sure there’s enough advanced functionality (for my purposes anyway) over Gatelab to warrant spending $10 on G2.
On the other hand, Gatelab is a great app with lots of sonic possibilities. And iirc was FREE, so I should probably buy the upgrade just to give the dev some well-deserved coin.

Thanks for reminding me that I really need to look into making BC playlists.
I think what’s kept me from doing it (after laziness, of course) is that most of my collection is ambient, which kinda challenges the Unifying Theme or Favorite Song approach to playlisting.

Which do you like and recommend? I don’t drive and am always the navigator, so I don’t need voice guidance.
We were in LA a couple of years ago and I had Google, Apple and Waze. By the end I was just using Google, because it was the simplest and least cluttered imo. I gave up on Waze early on.

Don’t get discouraged! Your tone and intonation sound really good. Spontaneity will come.

Thanks! I just downloaded Quantum Granulator yesterday and am impressed at the wide range of available modulation options. There are a few I’ve never really understood, so this video should fix that. 🙏

I’d always regretted not buying it at its intro price, so I jumped at the chance to buy it on sale this morning. I had a moment of indecision because I already have FRMS, Tardigrain, Silo and GRFX. How many granulars do I need? But that little voice said, “ALL OF THEM!” And I happily obeyed.
