Yeah, like, unless they either just do an update like you said, or otherwise keep everything from Ultimate somehow, any changes they make are gonna upset somebody somewhere

So, kinda like how Mario Kart 8 Deluxe was? I could see that. It's just like, they've backed themselves into a corner, since SSBU was so huge. Anything less for a sequel would upset people

Honestly I'm really curious what the next Smash is gonna be like. Having one with as big a scale as Ultimate seems unlikely I'd think. Like, there's no way all of the characters come back again, so where do we go from here?

If I'd known some weren't hackable, I would've tried to get an early model. I just really wanted Smash Ultimate at the time lmao. Oh well, I'm sure eventually someone will find a way to hack all versions of the Switch, it just takes time

I wish I could put CFW on mine, but I'm pretty sure I have one of the unmoddable ones. It's the Smash Bros. variant :(
