It would certainly be punitive, as well as unprecedented and likely illegal, to ban students from an otherwise accredited CA high school! That is *very* different from just considering "local context" as is actually already done to admit high ranking students from (generally) lower income schools.

"Fluffy" is subjective but if we're generous with the definition fluffy small dogs should be pretty old too (much older than modern fluffy breeds). Re the op something to remember

The history of dogs is an important consideration in the design of behavioral genetic studies. Studies of domestication will sometimes assume that modern gray wolves are the wild ancestors of dogs, but in truth they are their closest living wild relative, which is an important distinction. It won't be insolvent, to be clear there is no threat of not receiving any payout under current law. If nothing is done, benefits will become limited to payroll tax receipts and simply fall once by ~20%.

THE news of the death of Rosalind Franklin on April 16 [1958] came as a shock to many workers in the field of biochemistry and virus studies. It is a special tragedy when a brilliant research worker is cut off at the height of her powers and when exciting new discoveries are expected from her.

As a scientist Miss Franklin was distinguished by extreme clarity and perfection in everything she undertook. Her photographs are among the most beautiful X-ray photographs of any substance ever taken. Their excellence was the fruit of extreme care in preparation and mounting of the specimens as well as in the taking of the photographs. She did nearly all this work with her own hands. At the same time, she proved to be an admirable director of a research team and inspired those who worked with her to reach the same high standard. Her devotion to research showed itself at its finest in the last months of her life. Although stricken with an illness which she knew would be fatal, she continued to work right up to the end. Her early death is a great loss to science.

Thank you! 🙏That does seem to match the leaves best & the dark fruit (truly nearly black by eye when ripe/fallen), which grows exclusively on individual projections like the pic. Here's another of the the bark, though based on my image search the leaves seem the best differentiator

FYI, the bank bailout was enacted before Obama was even elected, let alone inaugurated as president. He does deserve some blame (alongside the usual suspects) for the anemic American Recovery & Reinvestment Act stimulus of 2009, unfortunately only ~1/3 the size needed to avert a lost decade
![The Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008, also known as the "bank bailout of 2008" or the "Wall Street bailout", was a United States federal law enacted during the Great Recession, which created federal programs to "bail out" failing financial institutions and banks. The bill was proposed by Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson, passed by the 110th United States Congress, and was signed into law by President George W. Bush. It became law as part of Public Law 110-343 on October 3, 2008. It created the $700 billion Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP) whose funds would purchase toxic assets from failing banks. The funds were mostly directed to inject capital into banks and other financial institutions as the Treasury continued to review the effectiveness of targeted asset-purchases.[1][2]
