I wanted to give D2 another shot so I could build up some level of care about updating Clarity's tooltips which seems to have somewhat worked but the game is still not in a state where I'm just going to play it on the regular for fun.

Literally the same situation here. Rising has been eating up all of my Destiny time recently, and that's probably going to be the case for the next while.

If it's purely down to the enjoyment of the game, I wouldn't return to D2 from rising now. D2 is still just in a meh state.

the levelling system no longer makes me want to smash my head into 3 separate walls simultaneously, which has already singlehandedly made me enjoy the game a lot more

still a ton of work to be done, but at least I no longer feel like I want to actively steer clear of the game
