Farming in the suburbs can be challenging, with traffic, pets, people driving your corn down with their toys. Argh.

Last 5 years of live beef cattle prices. I could get $2.38 this week at my local sale barn, but my steers are long gone. Prices drop evety November due to ham and turkey for holiday parties. Prime rib season in December, $ will go up again. Record high prices under Trump. We made money this year.

Sweet corn season means truckloads of local sweet corn for us and our livestock than did not meet grocery store standards. Family, neighbors, and friends enjoy many meals as well of perfectly good corn, that wasn’t perfect enough, while giving the cows a treat too.

What farm kids do in the summer- good trouble- a demo derby project. )The pole is not part of the act, just a delivery across the farm.)

Six week old piglets and a 7 month old gilt. They grow up so fast. Piglets moved out of the nursery today. Sunshine, more space, many things to learn.

Same cheap vinyl flooring as in my barn office, Menards 11% rebate. Someone screwed the government on this stuff.$1.18 a square foot, chargered millions.
