This is why @tuta.com is my email provider of choice. They have access to nothing, so to access my emails, they'd need access to every company's and individual's inboxes that I have ever interacted with. Not even my metadata is available if requested.

This is why I use Linux and @grapheneos.org. Even if they implement age verification, I will be able to sideload everything and bypass all of it.

For those that can't, we must fight to keep this out of app stores, away from VPNs, and off of websites. Age verification is mass surveillance.

Highly recommend @kagi.com

This is another mass surveillance proposal worded differently.

Mass surveillance is bad no matter how it's phrased.

It's all so tiresome.

Article 5 amendments could force "high-risk" services to implement "all reasonable mitigation measures." The moment scanning becomes "reasonable," providers who refuse face sanctions.

"Voluntary" means platforms decide whether to scan, not you. If your chat app chooses to scan, every user gets surveilled.

Your only option is switching apps.

Yay megacorps. Highly recommend using Proton docs/sheets if you want to get around this kind of thing.

@tuta.com is the only email provider that encrypts your entire email, contacts and calendar contents, so not even they have your metadata.

@proton.me uses PGP, which allows them to see subjects of emails, times, lengths, and if an event is recurring on your calendar, and all of your contacts.

Fascists. Every last one of them.
January 11, 2026 at 8:51 PM
This is why I moved everything to @tuta.com and @proton.me years ago. Google already collects all our data, and now they want to use that data to train their AI and infest their entire platform with slop.

Good. Ban the platforms that are willfully and knowing spreading hatred, misogyny, xenophobia, false narratives and disinformation.

1/3 of the platform has been proven to be foreign bots to influence politics anyway.
