Quickie Shepherds Pie…
Brown beef in bottom of slow cooker. Add a bit of water to cover. Thicken to gravy consistency with corn starch paste.
Add layer of corn/mixed vegetables.
Top with mashed potatoes to cover the layers. I use instant mashed.
Keep on low heat until ready to serve.

Middle of the night creativity is a good thing.
Many years ago I suffered from a long spell of insomnia. I finally got wise and decided to “embrace“ those quiet, peaceful hours.

In Canada, we have Thanksgiving in October. Many of us put up Christmas decorations the day after Halloween. Others wait until after Remembrance Day…November 12th. It’s okay, and legal, to get into the Christmas spirit early. 😊

Funny story…A man ordered a Dr. Who scarf from me a few years ago. Can’t remember what I charged him but I definitely spent more on yarn than I received. I think it was 72 inches long. Adding insult to injury, he wore muddy boots in my living room when he picked it up.
Never again. 😂😂

Scrote on a boat?

I was blamed for having a toxic mind…by a man who swore I could be cured through hypnosis and positive thinking. I declined the cure he offered. The utter stupidity of people who think that every chronic illness is all in your head…wearisome.

It’s all phony bull$hit. It wasn’t a zoo. They were raising the ostriches for slaughter.
The birds were a serious health hazard.

I want to wake up and take it for granted that today’s going to be a great day.

In Canada, Grade 4. The teacher was summoned to the office. She came back, visibly shaken, and told us that the President had died. School was dismissed.
Arrived home and my mother was standing by the ironing board, sobbing.
Absolutely devastating.

The owners definitely wanted to give the impression that every single ostrich was near and dear to them. So not true. They were breeding them for slaughter.
Most headlines played the victim card and reinforced that narrative.
Research, people. Research.
The birds were a grave health hazard.

All bluster. The fascists hate that we don’t want or need them.
