Moxie = complete disregard for international law and territorial sovreignity
Sen. Katie Britt: "It is really rich that you hear Democrats now saying, 'What's next?' You actually wanted this to happen back when you were in charge but you didn't have the moxie to get it done."

Best wishes for 2026 for all. The last year has been challenging for many for myriad reasons. Hopefully the forthcoming year will see some respite.

Seasons greetings all. Those of you participating in the festivities hope they have been joyful, and for those not that it has at least been tolerable.

The always-worth-reading Cory Doctorow is on the BBC radiobox talking Enpoopification. I'm not listening because 'Start The Week' is the same kind of cringe as a millennial asking a GenZ to explain 6-7, but if you can stomach it I'm sure it's good.

Today's the day! If you're free this evening join us @inthewarehouse.bsky.social at 7pm to watch ACTionism.
Hello Birmingham we're co-hosting a screening of ACTionism with The Plastic Free Gathering UK. The film explores bringing people together to take collective action. There'll be a Q&A with Ellie Meredith the filmmaker, and a chance to socialise.

I see that the nation which has just renamed their 'Department of Defence' to the Department of War is now having apoplexies because of an act of political violence.

Any #3BodyProblem fans out there? The novel has been on my radar for a long time, but my shortened attention span has deterred me from starting a potentially complex novel. And now looking for my next TV series to binge I have downloaded the Netfl!X show.

I asked AI if I should read the novel 1st..

"Roving mobs of wild youth" is quite a statement about Washington, District of Colombia. Is this all because Edward 'Big Balls' Coristine got beaten up?

Also, describing Broad Street as a 'cultural hub' is laughable. I mean technically it has a theatre and a concert hall, but it's dominated by terrible bars selling cheap alcohol to the dregs of the city.
