Help streamline characters but embrace their character ideas! Encourage them to think of npcs (but make sure they’re happy with that they can be good or bad or different!) random quirky npcs might be asked to join the party.. be excitable and offer experiences (I offered potions)

I find knowing a good sunny window to sit at in the morning or early afternoon is helpful (whether at home or at work)

I was commenting on whether they were weightlifting with pews (the wooden seats in churches) as I don’t think I’ve ever seen a priest that stacked before (as a minister myself, who looks nothing like this 😉, I do move a lot of gopac tables)

Ive DM’d the dragons of shipwreck isle - which took me ages to want to do it correctly & literally to the book; where as I found home brewing and encounter building much more straightforward and easier to run with whilst making up my own ‘lore!’ With family - but my brain works well with random 🫠

In a all-age campaign I had George, and his travelling potion cart ‘George’s marvellous potions’ some time ago he mistakenly took a polymorph potion that stuck so he’s now a kenku … which means it’s very hard to work out what potion does what - roll a d100!
