Chasing seasonal lights at night

Wasn't really a night anymore... It was already after 8am, but still dark 😜. Used tripod and timed exposures (1...3 seconds, pure guesswork)

Is this #voigtländer Inos II (and its close relative Bessa E) the only self-erecting lens-on-rails folding camera model there is? I'd like to know whether there are any comparable designs.

The Inos II needed a bit of work: the shutter bracket (a zinc alloy casting!!!) had been bent backwards by some ~5 degrees (obviously by being dropped at some point), so I had to straighten it very carefully - you'll never know what the old castings withstand.

In a friend's basement we made a makeshift jig for carefully bending back the bent alloy shutter bracket The Inos II after straightening the shutter bracket, but still without the shutter. The weird rails / remote focusing system is visible, the lower of the two wheels controls the focus.

I've been on lookout for older #Voigtländer folders for well over a year. Now, within a few weeks, two opportunities presented itself: good condition, reasonable price.

Finally got round to properly cleaning and fixing the Copal shutter on my Dad's first 'proper' camera, a 1955-57 Yashicaflex C. This had been on the back-burner for some years...
There was some really stubborn dirt on the shutter mechanism.

Yashicaflex C twin-lens-reflex (TLR) camera, made between 1955 and 1957, with a Kenko square lens hood and a Rollei red filter. This was my father's first 'proper' camera. The halves of a Copal shutter separated, the outer case with the aperture control system on the left, the shutter mechanism in the middle and the loose shutter blades on the right. The Copal shutter is a bit fiddly to put back together. The shutter blades are kept in place with gravity only, until you have secured the outer case over them. The complete, reassembled Copal shutter of the mid-50s Yashicaflex C TLR.
