Again, 15% productivity increase is insane in terms of our civilization and ChatGPT agrees with me

💯

look we can speculate about the numbers and we can write that "But I don't see that actually happening." without any hard data and it is all irrelevant, IMHO

We are on the edge huge breakthrough and even if AI will give just 15% productivity increase it is insane number in terms of our civilization

Again you don't need actually AI to write code! My best code is written myself and I use AI for writing test analyzing code and so on

AI brings tremendous boost of productivity, if you don't see or don't want to see it, then all what I can tell I feel sorry for you, you are missing out a lot!

For me main part or breakthrough is to use AI to ask a question about a code, so I can understand how things works under the hood. I don't need to wait days from stackoverflow, now I got all of that instantly.

Add to this simple fixes in super complex project, what AI can fix in no time

10-20+ for last year and AI what was 2 years ago and what is now is a huge difference...

I don't think anything below Claude 4.0 is worth to mention. I'm working with Claude maybe less then a year...

And again I don't understand why you so focussed on amount of people, it is just wrong.

You remind me of this guy

I actually think the opposite. We are on the edge of a revolution. AI brings an enormous productivity boost, and the next couple of years will be insane.

“But I don’t see” is this just your feeling or you have some actual data backing your statement?

I disagree, AI for me helps much faster to understand what is going on inside big projects. That where I use AI.

Amount of people is nothing to do with how difficult or not to apply AI on a project.

As experiment, take big OSS project, find a bug and ask AI to fix it. It will be fix in no time.

OMG! I can’t even log in to Claude.

All it takes is one sneaky backdoor in that clone and tons of people would install it thinking it’s the real thing.
