We threw healthy eating to the wind lol. My cocktail was a thanksgiveme. A bourbon sour with mulled wine and foam on top! I love the big square ice cube. A ribeye and we shared churros. Sooo nice and what a treat!

Udon noodle soup with stir fried chicken in it. I marinated it with 1T each hoisin, soy sauce, brown sugar and fresh ginger. Served on side cucumbers with sweet chili sauce. Kind of a mash-up but it was tasty. Broth had chicken stock, soy, shredded carrots, scallions and sautéed onions.

Oh boy that’s more than I know! It looked kinda like this but none of the fenders matched and the roof and hood lost paint in big splotches. Using archaeological techniques, I determined it was dark green in ancient times.

That is a Norway Spruce, Patricia. We have a whole pine forest across the street here. Protected water company land. You can see it in the background.

I love this massive tree, just down the street across the one lane bridge.

Pea soup for lunch. Bone-in ham steak on sale for $6. I’m using half for this soup with bone and the other half for mac n cheese with ham and peas for a dinner.

Breakfast for dinner with Mr W. Sausage gravy on drop biscuits with fried eggs. He likes his soft and I like mine hard. He says tomato and I say tomahto 🎶

We had a little snow tempest.

Some little inspirations and wip in my corner studio. And my absolute beast of an easel, which I bought used so it could bring with it all the spirit and experience of other painters before me.

If you see this, post your bird art.

Making this for dinner tonight with Rosemary White Beans. The can is good until 2028! Because confit! The fat keeps out bacteria. French housewives, raising ducks, sold the breasts at a higher price at market and preserved the legs fully cooked and submerged in fat to eat in the fall and winter.

You can just see our rocking chairs on the front patio there. Last week we met the new mailman, who drove in while we were sitting in the sun. And the whole tree is ablaze now. I can hear the neighbor’s chimes.

Outside in my pajamas. Little miracles. That’s what a backyard is for!
