Very easy to see how this game influenced stuff like C2077, curious to see if this is the fated VTM thing that actually clicks with me.

This isn't the only thing that bugged me about the game but it definitely stuck with me because I kept expecting the writing to at some point lampshade or make a comment on it in some form and that never really arrived - at least in my playthrough.

...having said that, it's pretty wild to me that the writing never reckons with the fact that one of the biggest narrative choices in it is whether you want to pursue a relationship with your boss or a direct report.
