#30.5: James SA Corey - Strange Dogs
Expanse Novella that would have led the show into the final story arc and whose story is now a weird loose end.

#30: James SA Corey - Babylon's Ashes
Expanse novel #6 and the one after which the TV show was cancelled. A great end to a highly uncomfortable story arc.

I realize my post can be VERY misunderstood in this context!
I was thinking of studies that showed how LLM use made students' school outcomes worse. Since everybody on the internet can read my mind, surely that intent was clear to everybody. Right?

I have always misunderstood the butlerian jihad - I thought, humans made the machines smart, but it turns out, the machines started dumb and dragged humanity down to their level.

I've heard it said that you can learn a lot about a person by the role in which they first saw Tim Curry.

#29: James SA Corey - Nemesis Games
The fifth Expanse novel, really four novellas that are really one novel. Possibly my favorite book in the series - foreshadowing to plot in books 7 to 9 and the end of book 6. A testament to a fantastically planned series.

#28: James SA Corey - Cibola Burn
It speaks for the authors that the book is one stomach drop after the other and then they put the hardest-going one in the epilogue. Fantastic continuation of the series.

#27: James SA Corey - Gods of Risk and The Vital Abyss
I think, at this point the novellas can count as a novel.
Background on Bobby and her family and an inside look of corporate structures unbothered by ethics.

#26: James SA Corey - Abbadon's Gate
Book 3 is diving deeper into anthropology - cultural differences are worked out more and later conflicts are set up. I'm also still pissed that the TV show tried to fit this book into a half season and crippled the story.

#25: James SA Corey - Caliban's War
Book 2 of The Expanse. I LOVE PRAX! Great continuation of the story, diving deeper into the motivations of people and the psychology of corporations.

#24: James SA Corey - Leviathan Wakes
Now, enjoying these books the second time, I'm grasping the authors' self control of teasing the main story in the prologue and then just waiting until the excrement hits the fan in the last third of the book to finally show us what's really going on.

#23.5: James SA Corey - The Churn
Expanse Novella that looks at the background of everybody's favorite murder mechanic Amos. More cyberpunk than sci-fi, made me want to play a gritty cyberpunk campaign with high-level criminal NPCs spitting lines from this book.

Ok, so I stopped the Witcher series half way through book 2. Not for me.
Instead, I'm enjoying the Expanse audiobooks (again). And since I forgot to update this and I'm alone in the office right now...

#23: Andrzej Sapkovski - The Blood of Elves
Witcher novel 1. Expletives, SA, mysogyny, racism... I'm beginning to think, this series is beloved by the people who think Warhammer 40k is the most realistic depiction of the far future.

Nooooo, no access to puberty blockers because, while I have no knowledge of medicine, I do have great concern for the boobs-to-be of underage people!
You'll just have to live without participating in sports - or spectating, unless you bring your own bucket to pee into.

Man, am I happy to not be a creator with a fan base, because I could NOT keep a secret to save my life!
Much patience to you, and I hope you don't explode from excitement before the beans are ready for spilling.

So every firecracker contains the implied statement "listen here, Starmer, if I had access to gunpowder barrels..."?
We need something like that in Germany!

It's both the Jar-Jario brothers - this pair of spiritually conjoined twins who can reconnect with the help of some pharmaceutically active substances.

Never get involved in a land war in Asia and never go up against a Ferengi when profit is on the line!
