Nearly avoided going back to my hometown for new years tomorrow. Looking forward to seeing my family, but also ehhhh not excited to travel back to KC when I could just not.

Does anyone have suggestions on how to adjust to weird jetlag? I seem to be exclusively wide awake at 1-4am, then sleep until 9 am, then fall asleep at 10 pm. I've never had this issue before. Is it because I'm getting older?

After telling my mom I could be trusted in a store (it was a Ross) alone while she tried on an expensive sweater (Cashmere), ran directly into a bench at full speed and split my forehead open, getting blood EVERYWHERE. Ruined the sweater, her like one day off, my dad had to leave work. I was 8.

On the positive side, I'm starting to become a halfway decent cook. Made a caramelized and black garlic gnocchi pasta.
