Triggered all sorts of stuff I don’t like remembering. The invalidation of victims is horrid. And it happens with men and women that are raped or molested by either gender. That invalidation stays with you and just rips up whatever self-image you have about your own sexuality.

Picking off bits and pieces of your armor until every nerve is raw. When you try to sleep. When things are quiet. When you stop to breathe. When you wake up and feel it waiting to greet you. That’s what makes you suicidal. Knowing it’s going to be there every day until you die.
