I don't think you're wrong to be asking the question, no matter what the quoteskeets keep repeating 😂 It is such a weird ecosystem though, I truly cannot think of another creative or entertainment medium where the stadium-filling acts and the "garage bands" are competing on the same platforms

And: I think the fact that any piece of entertainment on the Internet is inherently competing with the rest of the Internet is reaching a breaking point for both small creators and average consumers but that is a separate issue that we can't fix without time travel and/or UBI

As someone with both professional TTRPG credits and a performance art background, I see you struggling a lot with the sustainability of the money in the ecosystem, which misses that what sustains many micro-streamed games is community and passion over economics. Don't mix the market with the art!
