The Taiko games are on sale, so I bought and played through Rhythm Adventure 1 now. Pretty much the same as the 2nd, but more barebones, and without a BS final boss.

Found out there is actually a bugfix patch for Dragon Quest III SNES. So for the first time I'm playing the to this day still best looking version of the game.

Y'know how sometimes a random clicked rec leads you down an unexpected rabbit hole? Anyways, turns out the last little threat that keeps my mental health together at the year's end is held only by 1 minute clips of these two fictional ppl and if I run out I probs have to end it

Started watching The Good Place. Finished season 1. Takes a bit to get going, but it's good fun.

The Escaflowne movie uses the characters and themes to do its own thing, which I prefer to a cliffnotes rundown retelling of the show anyways. Absolutely gorgeous to look at, too. No notes.

Wrapped up my rewatch of Vision of Escaflowne. Interesting narrative, very well animated, (part) Yoko Kanno OST, what's not to like

Played through Elemental Gearbolt. The lightgun stages feel almost completely divorced of what happens in the lengthy cool anime scenes, but the world building is super tight, I'd be into reading/watching something that elaborates on it. Somehow stage 1s boss was the hardest part

It's #KusogeCember. What better excuse to replay my favorite shit game I haven't touched since 2006: Drakengard.

The Garo PS2 game is a fun if rudimentary little fighter that offers 10 disjointed stages from the first show and only takes like 45 minutes to beat. But you can unlock playing as Zero, Kiba and there's a whole VS fighter in there, too.

Taiko no Tatsujin: Rhythm Festival thankfully has no big grind unlocks anymore, with about a dozen being added by going through the story (playing the full track list on Easy and Normal got me there). If you wanna play almost forever, you can always get the 600(!) DLC songs.

Finished Dead Aim, the final Gun Survivor. Goes back to the first, which worked best on console: A traditional (if simplified and shorter) RE campaign and assumes that you are locked in place while in shooting mode. Looks pretty good, too, tho the FMVs are crazy.

Unlocked and played all songs in Taiko no Tatsujin Wii 3. Instead of a story mode, this one has a Mario Party kinda minigame collection you compete for medals (and need to do to unlock a few songs)

Gave Senran Kagura Bon Appétit a quick spin. Fascinating how a game this horny can be this boring at the same time. The music isn't very good, the same few jokes are repeated until they stop being funny, and the fanservice goes on when you just want to keep playing.

Oh man, Lamento: Beyond the Void is almost 20 years old? I can remember when it first came out. Time for a replay and see if it's still one of my favorite ren'ai games. #VNNovember

Corn 4: Kinda forgetable. Weak use of your Naomi Watts.
Corn 5: Wants to be a 90s teen slasher so bad, but that doesn't work in a franchise where the kids are the murderers instead of the murdered.

That's it. After Real Survivor and Invisible Enemy being done, we have the REmake Platinum. Didn't think I'd get that deep back into it when deciding on some quick replay of the game, but every trophy excuse to play one more round was welcome.

Garo: Divine Flame, the movie sequel to the first series, delivers high drama dark fantasy with well animated fights in front of great looking background art. What's not to like.
