December 17, 2025 at 3:47 AM
okay, that actually makes much more sense and I really need to read and think better. That’s still crazy … do you have plans (or at least enough train cars) for the rest of them?

Yes, I (not a man!) loved this show. I wish they didn’t have to wrap it up the way they did, with the “maybe this isn’t the final arc but we have to cover our bets” second half of season 2. I would have loved to see them develop that arc, and add more story, over more seasons.

Yep. I remember those days. We were supposed to be grateful that our immediate neoghbors weren‘t smoking. We were supposed to be grateful for that accommodation

Oh my goodness, yes. His films could be silly or hopeful or romantic or what have you, but they were deep, playfully hitting on what my high school English teacher called The Human Condition, something that essentially challenges us to define our principles and act according to them

As someone who has contended (maybe had to cope is better phrasing) with these issues her whole life, I can agree, wholeheartedly. I have been burned by close relatives with substance-abuse histories; however, I believe that it”s imcumbent on us to give our best support to people facing addiction

Honestly, he embodied the best of what we all claim to be American. He was a compassionate, conscientious person who was most patriotic to the best vision of America. He challenged us all to be and do better. What a mensch.

Yay! All hail to both the “work” and the “progress” parts of “work in progress.” I hope you get to where you want to be with it, soon
