Evidently, in many cases there were family ties, logical after decades and decades of coexistence, but frankly, from a historical point of view, there is a vast gap between the things each side can reproach the other.

Can you compare it to the resentment and historical conflict between Ukraine and Russia? Really? That comparison doesn’t hold up historically. Canadians being angry at Trump’s administration is logical, but it’s nothing like what happened between 🇺🇦 and 🇷🇺 in the past.

The comparison lacks the main ingredient: there is no rancour or personal resentment between the communities, quite the opposite. For Trump it is just another key to press, but on the ground it lacks the substance to lead to anything like the 🇺🇦🆚🇷🇺 case.
