Trousers generally were worn at true waist, e.g. belly button. Collars were high collars, which generally can be gotten just by undoing the folding down of modern collars. You could wear a cravat to avoid the details there, especially as ties are modern.

Sorry, I miight have an interest.

[cont] They would also have suspender buttons, generally two for each strap of the suspenders. There's various ways the back of them look, but www.historicalemporium.com/store/007039... gives an idea. Also, note that V at the back of the trousers. [cont2]

Okay,so,the biggest change in historical trousers is the front. Instead of a fly, most historical trousers used a drop-front, which is like a flap that buttons in place. www.historicalemporium.com/store/007186... is a good example, though I'm not sure if what's under the flap is 100% accurate [cont]

The red ones are giving Ringmaster vibes.

You going to be doing more with those three?

Took the liberty of posting the final version in its own post (quoting this one)

As for colours: I mainly took them from Dragoncrime's reference, then added shading and highlight colours. Some tweaks after shading, of course. Only one I really modified was the armwraps; went with a slightly yellowy base then added the blue tint back in in the shading instead.

And, just for fun, here it is without the linework (save a ghost of part of Vic's signature; I actually made it its own layer late in to make sure it was as unmodified as possible.)

Don't think I'll get this done tonight.

Kind of went ham on the shading and highlights, but the beard's so dark that you can barely see the ink, so...

Having checked the ones he posted here (solely to see if he had posted anything transphobic that I could report to the Bsky mods).... yep. There's one where he sees a hot guy, but then he has... moderately bad teeth. And this causes his self-insert to lose all interest.
November 7, 2025 at 1:52 PM
Well, that's annoying. I checked his page solely to see if he posted anything transphobic I could report to get him ejected off the platform and ideally into a volcano. And now I've read a bunch of incredibly shitty comics. Which are just slightly short of the reportable level.

Forgive me for ignorance, but what did the NYT do? I mean, I believe you, just hadn't heard about it. Is it like the Guardian over here where a left-leaning newspaper managed to get captured by TERFs?

Choose me as nemesis. I'm too nice to actually stop you, just send you strongly worded e-mails.

Oh no! They're all hot!

There might be a few people who crosspost there. More likely, they're just going there for a heads up on what the chuds are doing. I like to find out what Rowling's new campaigns of hate are, for example, so I'm not hit unaware.

...Loved those books. How about Varney the Vampire? It's one of the Dracula predecessors.
