🎮 2025 Game #84: Angry Video Game Nerd 8-bit
I love retro shooter/platformers, but this game felt like it made it a point to include the absolute worst of NES game design. I liked some of the bosses, but it was an overall frustrating play with mediocre graphics and music.

Fun and addicting little roguelike slots game that has some great presentation, fun mechanics, and, most importantly, does not overstay it's welcome. Some additional depth would have been cool, but I had a great time and would recommend it.

Pretty nice DLC that fixes some of the more annoying mechanics from the base game, but also has some of the same issues, mainly the mech combat, limited exploration, and poor writing. Still, I loved the music and art.

Extremely challenging, but well-made shoot 'em up remastered for modern platforms. Most of the assets looks fine although some are definitely just raw upscaled. Great music, fun mechanics, but really needs some QOL features to elevate it.
