29. To The Moon [for fun]

I need to take some time to assess why I had such a hard time with this one.

I liked the idea, it hit emotionally, but I cannot say that I enjoyed playing it.

I think a clash of aesthetic preferences and stop and start movement made it difficult for me.

28. Reaplaced [for fun]

Reaplaced is a free to play Visual Novel that is perfect for one sitting in the spooky season.

Instead of detective mechanics, the murder mystery invites you to try to make your own deductions alongside a very competent protagonist.

Enjoyed the journey and the conclusion!

27. Tunic [for fun]

I have finally played Tunic!

Turning on no fail mode was the perfect vibe for me, a low stakes exploration and puzzle adventure.

Not knowing why people like this game so much, I didn’t really understand until near the end. But now I know. So great. Loved it. Great great great.

There are a tonne of less severe adaptability options as well but I just went all in haha.

I will definitely let you know, so far I’m not sure if I’m just missing that there are puzzles or something 😂 also if I think of any others I’ll pass them along!

I am enjoying finding all the little hidden nooks and crannies in the environment.

I don’t feel like I’ve reached any puzzling or what makes the game special to people yet? But I have turned on no fail mode as I wasn’t feeling combaty.

So far feels very metroidvania to me and I’m here for it!

Very true, I would not have coped with that 😂

26. Outer Wilds: Echos of the Eye [watched]

As with the base game, on paper this should be for me, but I couldn’t have been more glad to be watching instead.

Where most people found hope in the og game and I did not, the DLC really helped me take a few steps closer. Also neat idea and gimmicks.

25. 20 Minutes Till Dawn [for fun]

‘I have 20 mins before I need to go to bed’… lol.

Marking as complete as I survived the 20 mins on 2 maps, played the characters I was interested in, and I have had my fill.

Much more aesthetically pleasing than Vampire survivors, but less to discover as well.

24. Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair [for fun]

After playing 1 I wasn’t eager to jump into 2, did not expect I would enjoy it so much more.

The familiarity of the structure meant jumping straight to the drama. Some plot twists I guessed, some I didn’t. Poor ending but overall exactly what I wanted.

Proud of what I made, maybe even more so now than I was back then.

Also, that Next Fest had some absolute bangers!

23. Sons of the Forest [for fun]

Would never have played this solo but so much fun in co-op.

The journey of how powerless we started to feeling unstoppable was fantastic, as well as the consistent exciting discoveries while exploring, and building our own mansion. Top tier coop experience.
