One of my favorite SFO historical bits: a remnant of the old Bayshore Highway, abandoned in the late 1940s to expand the airport. It’s by the threshold of runway 1R.

But in 1/500 scale, it is much smaller than my 1/100 model in the living room. That one is taller than I am, well over 2 meters.
