Horror is a genre that usually doesn't get much attention at the Academy Awards, so it's impressive that Sinners set the record for the most nominations in history! It was probably my favorite movie last year, so I'm glad to see it get some well-deserved recognition.

Bethany has been a good influence on me in a lot of ways, but one of the best things she has done is convince me to listen to the Dungeon Crawler Carl audiobooks. They are very much my kind of book, and I'm enjoying listening to the adventures of the Royal Court of Princess Donut.

I had an incredible Thanksgiving and birthday weekend thanks to Bethany and Yorick! We made homemade queso, ate ice cream cake, and watched Shrinking on Apple TV. We had to cancel dinner plans due to some electrical issues at home, but it was still nice and relaxing.

I celebrated my 25-year college class reunion at Trevecca today. It was great seeing some old friends and learning how things have changed in their lives. I also got to stop by the Waggoner Library for its 25th anniversary and library worker reunion--even though the library wasn't built back then!

When I went to Trevecca, dancing wasn't even allowed. Now they have a social dance club!

There's a Dunkin' near me that seems to always hire the most interesting people. Every time I go there, I end up being entertained by whatever is going on behind the counter. Turnover is high, so it's always different people, but they always have personality.

A couple of weeks ago, my west coast swing team performed at the Fall Showcase for The Ballroom of Nashville! It was a fun 70s-themed medley of two classic songs. Thanks to everyone on the team for an awesome time with this routine!

My house just can't catch a break. I got another leak, this time under my bathroom sink! Fortunately, the plumbers were able to fix this one without too much trouble.
