Knight oc Wreg posed similar to Klimt's painting 'Danaë': in almost fetal position in nude, with blissful expression on his face. He's younger than usual, so he has flowing long hair draping over his shoulder. There are various pieces of armor scattered around him, a feather, harebell, and manuscript depicting ginger man. One of the gauntlets is pressing into his calf.

it took a week, but I made a comic interpretation of one of the best moments in the @malevolent.ca podcast, my personal favourite, from episode 40.

Spoilers:
a large single comic page adapted from the Malevolent podcast, episode 40. Arthur, a suit wearing man with a mustache, grips the hand of Noel, a trenchcoat wearing detective with a tie and a 5-oclock-shadow, as he dangles off the side of a massive theater balcony. Arthur is losing his grip as an off-screen ethereal voice commands Noel to "FALL." which he almost obeys, until strange tentacle-like whisps of energy give Arthur the strength to pull him up, rising out of him like steam. The golden-coloured energy coalesces dramatically into a gigantic godly entity, who goes by John, swirling into place like a stirred glass of glowing yellow dye, cosmic stars float around inside him, he roars with anger, screaming at his adversary, "Yellow", ie the King in Yellow, who cowers behind Larson, a grimy looking man with glasses who he's attached himself to not unlike how John seems to be attached to Arthur. Noel tries to steady Arthur who seems to be physically taxed by this apparition but John continues, pointing directly at Yellow, who is in disbelief, that this is even possible to begin wtih. John calls his pathetic reach for power weak, and bades him to leave, to seal himself away in his host Larson like a coward, and while impressive and terrifying display continues to sap energy from Arthur as Noel shouts out, Yellow asks how this is even possible, why HIM, why give a damn about this human at all. John's energy seems to dissipate as he evapourates back into Arthur saying that his power comes from how much he and Arthur support and believe in each other, something Yellow will never understand.

on the cover, Damen and Laurent face opposite directions, showcasing their disconnect, yet both remain inside the cage-like window space: laurent on a red fabric, and damen, reduced to his new position on the ground. The regent's red curtain frames them, and on the stained glass, two birds dream of soaring in the sky. Damen is mostly in the shadows, the light on his back only a memory, while Laurent, while still under the light, has the inevitable looming shadow of his elaborate cage over him. Though Laurent holds Damen's golden leash, the chain silently binds him, too. Framing them, the star banner is covered in the regent's red: Tattered on the right, a crumbling memento of Laurent's father and brother, and on the left, a new banner, Laurent's own, still waiting for his time to be in the light. On the back cover, a bloody scene; a testament of what happened to damen and his guard: the statue, inspired by a sophocles reading of laoconte, representing damen with his head broken off as a symbol of his position being striped off him, by his own brother, for having fallen in love with the wrong person, and his guard brutally murdered, all traces of him and the truth erased for the people of Akielos. In the background, the frieze foreshadows Damen's return, a tale to be told in the coming books. on the cover, Damen and Laurent (with longer hair due to their journey) face the same direction, their goals finally starting to allign. On each side, swords and war maps dictate the path ahead while both are lost in a now-common, yet borderline special ceremony between them; the undressing of laurent, either of his clothes or his emotional armor against damen, while damen gets lost in the action, a representation of his slow, newfound appreciation for Laurent as the individual he comes to know. Instead of a cage, their shared tent: a fragile construction between them. All that separates them from the fire and freedom is a delicate veil now. On the table, a glass of wine sits alone, a representation of their tentative intimacy in this moment of their relationship. On the table, a war game: laurent's few numbers against the regent, but behind him, a secret backup none yet know about. On the back cover, the very end of the book: Jord watches as Nikandros, Damen's loyal friend and Laurent's secret weapon, come to keep his end of their agreement. Laurent's star shine under the sun on both the standard and the shield: not all is lost. On the cover, Laurent and Damen during the okton - both in the light, their flags sitting together covering each other's back. An activity where they both compete for their own glory, but finally face it as kings, here doubling as a representation of their last stretch towards their common goal: a fierce struggle where the earth rises, but does so under their power and speed; if it might get out of their control at times, it is something they will face side by side as equals. In front of them, Pallas has his own fun during the event moments before the unexpected happens. Behind them all, near the two thrones, Nikandros and Makedon carefully watch both kings. On the back cover, all embark on an dangerous and exciting mission through slim odds and the watchful gaze of guards, but on the corner, a vision of the future: the blue bird (Laurent), finally free of it's golden cage, leaves the regent red covers behind and perks on the lion's (Damen) head to watch over them in this adventure on their new kingdom as a new spring rapidly blooms around them under the bright sky. On the cover, Damen and Laurent's coronation. People of the two nations mingle while Charls the merchant is shocked at Lamen's audacity of dressing as the King. Laurent and Damen, though at the moment of Damen's introduction to Charls, are momentarily lost in their own little world. On the back cover, Berenger concludes that Luxury does suit Ancel. While ancel is covered in priceless emeralds and surrounded in expensive furniture, flower petals still cover his space: a soft reminder of Berenger's more humble showcase of his feelings. On their suitcase a horseshoe is wrapped around by a flower: the unexpected growth of love between people who couldn't be more different. As day turns into night, A memory unfold as Jord and Aimeric kiss under the cover of darkness. Aimeric gives himself only partially, his left hand holding the secret of his betrayal. With his hand on his waist, Jord doesn't know the strained red thread he innocently seeks to untie is that of the regent, and uknown to him, a lace that is tragically woven too deep to be undone.

Luo Binghe has a scowl on his face and tears falling as he braves through an abyss. He carries two swords: Zheng Yang on his right hand, and Xin Mo on his left, surrounded by countless other broken swords. Behind him, a fan with two visible guards. The Fan itself contains important moments of Luo Binghe's life, each segment getting progressively more surreal and bloody as his life unfolds. From left to right: -The first guard, Shen Jiu's relaxed expression with his eyes closed, partially hiding his face with his fan, a red crane soaring facing left, to a time before binghe. -Young Binghe gets tea poured over him by Shen Jiu, his idealized vision of his newfound master shatered as tears roll down his eyes. -His fellow disciples laugh and mock his fake jade pendant, his only memento of his mother, now lost. -SQQ pierces Binghe and pushes him into the abyss. Luo Binghe cries, weakly holding the sword that pierces his chest while the blood from his wounds flow down the fan towards the red river and form the silhouette of his new self, raised in the abyss with a silent scream. -Shen QingQiu chooses to self destruct. Binghe is on the ceiling, trying to reach for Shen Qingqiu, whose hair swings up as energy envelops him. The red moon watches over both. -Binghe's long and slow suffering, keeping Shen QingQiu's body intact. He holds his deceased master's body gently with both hands and cries in silence. -Binghe, completely dominated by xin mo, turns towards SQQ for vengeance for all his suffering. A terrified SQQ is reflected on the blood in his sword. -SQQ offers binghe his salvation card: his lost pendant, kept safe by SQQ, to bring him back from his posessed state and save him before the worst could happen. On the second guard, after everything, Shen Yuan faces forward, anguished but caring. On the fan hiding his face a crane with butterfly wings faces right, out of the fan, ready for their new story to unfold, too.
