One of my MFL teams is the Carolina Mediocre they play in the MFL Mid division where they get bad calls from the mid-refs and sorta-kinda still might make the playoffs by most everyone being 8-9. Parity anyone?

Read old New Yorker article about Dead & Co at Sphere from a Bluesky post. As confirmed Deadhead wanted another opinion from someone "on the bus". Reaffirmed several of my misgivings about the whole thing. Have been as close as Kingman AZ to Lost Wages. Never have/never will step foot in Vegas.

Mentally revisiting "All The Kings Men". Early post-WWII novel by Robert Penn Warren. Told a fictionalized tale of Huey Long the Louisiana Blowhard who bamboozled his way in and out of power a century ago. Broderick Crawford played him in a very salient movie. I would recommend book & movie.

Where's "Public" in PBS if it depends solely on rich folk? The UNC System's job = Educate the public for the public good. Done partially over public airwaves using PBS. It is true that some folk don't like that. People can be manipulated better when less informed or worse, cleverly lied to.
