goodlinks.app and Obsidian, although mostly Goodlinks since it's just so good: syncs across Mac and iOS, even has Shortcuts support.

Yeah, I love Obsidian. I'd wanted Notion-style queries for a while, and the Bases feature has gone a ways towards closing that gap.

Just curious, have you heard of anytype.io? That's a good local-first alternative to Notion. I use that for the dashboardy stuff that Obsidian doesn't do as well.

That's why the non-humans/scenes are rendered pretty decently and the human/human adjacent characters are nightmare fuel.
