Love F1, Spurs and Cheltenham Town FC, looking forward to the day we return to our home in the EU. FBPE Joined Bluesky August 2023, very proud to be user number 643,523
Just had a very positive email from Lucy Powell, she listed all the positive to date and is looking to set up regular sessions with members. My choice was Bridget Phillipson but both were excellent candidates.

The i at it again, apparently the Mansion Tax which they think may be announced tomorrow will cause a lot of trouble for Rachel Reeves warns a top economist. If she doesn't announce a Mansion Tax it'll be Reeves backs down due to warning by top Economist, this isn't journalism.

"I'm delivering free school meals for the nation"

For next year, Labour will ensure over half a million more children across England will get free school meals, putting money back in parents’ pockets and giving every child the best start in life!

These kids get why this is so important! Do you?

The Guardian reporting two Peers suspended, gives a long explanation of what Dannet did but no mention of whether he's Labour, Tory or cross bencher (he's a cross bencher) shorter paragraph about Evans, first sentence mentions he's a Labour peer, two tier reporting eh🤔

One thing to remember @lbc.co.uk most home owning pensioners are mortgage free but not necessarily cash rich. I'm 70, I only have my state pension but my OH has an excellent private pension and pays tax. Remember why the triple lock was introduced, our state pension is not generous.

I'm bemused by @mrjamesob.bsky.social this morning, he joined in the very vocal Labour bashing about the initial changes to WFP (it wasn't generally pensioners whining) and has now decided pensioners are treated over generosity, make your mind up James.

On US TV shows and podcasts from 2009-18, Farage discussed supposed plots by bankers to create a global government, citing Goldman Sachs, the Bilderberg group and George Soros as threats to democracy. Included six guest slots with the disgraced far-right US conspiracy theorist Alex Jones.

Interestingly we’ve been consistently better off since Q2 2024. You’d never know that from the media who provide 90% of our information on the governments performance.

News you won't see in headlines because it favours Labour (part 193):
Fares directly controlled by the Government (season tickets, peak returns for commuters & off-peak returns between major cities) will be frozen instead of rising 4.8% next year.

Relief for rail passengers as fare freeze in England announced for 2026
Chancellor will confirm the measure, intended to help commuters on expensive routes, in her budget speech

As we say in Scotland, hell mend any Labour MP's who are behind these endless articles attacking their own PM. A PM who in 4 years took them from the worst defeat in living memory to number 10. He's not perfect show me anybody who is but cast your mind back to the previous 14 years.

Another day another Starmer bashing front page in the i, as usual no substance, no names, no numbers, could be 3 could be 10, it's just another attempt to destabilise the Government. Who's paying for this, because it's concerted across the media.
November 22, 2025 at 8:35 AM
Sky News is another broadcaster expecting the PM to leak budget plans, in news that'll surprise nobody who isn't new to politics he has refused to rule out tax rises. I'll translate, he was asked a question about tax rises and didn't answer because budget purdah is still a thing.

Why are you pushing something that is catergorically not true. Thanks for contributing to the disinformation epidemic
Ian Dunt on his Substack is repeating the lie that Starmer plans to strip asylum seekers of their jewellery and property on the beach.

He used to be a reasonable commentator but has now become so virulently anti Starmer that he cannot longer distinguish between reality and Daily Mail lies.

Just in case Farage denys every knowing Gill.
November 21, 2025 at 1:46 PM
A wee reminder to the media and others, a manifesto is what a Government wants to achieve in a 5 year term in office not 5 minutes after stepping into number 10.
November 21, 2025 at 11:14 AM
Seen it all now, some tosser attempting to blame Starmer for the Tories abject failure in dealing with Covid.
November 21, 2025 at 8:37 AM
There's a lot I hate about Labour's proposed changes to Immigration but let's not pretend it makes them worse than the Tories or god help us Reform. That said I particularly hate the proposals to give high earners high skills a shorter route to citizenship, fairness and equality should apply to all.
November 21, 2025 at 8:34 AM
My problem with people earning over £125,000 being able to apply for citizenship within 3 years is about fairness. Why should a care worker on minumum wage have to wait for 10 years because they're in a low paid, not a low skilled job.
