Haha. You're welcome. You must have missed some of my past posts. I did get some good video that I'm going to piece together so that you can see how they move, too.

Fantastic! What county are you in? This was, indeed, wonderful.

Here's one I could find from last year 😊

Yep. There are only two in the US that do that!

That. Is. Awesome. I figured you got that effect way more often than it happens on the San Pedro (happens here, rarely, but always a treat). Thanks for sharing!!!

@pitbool.com Do you guys get low-rolling clouds in your valley? Did you get rain?
November 23, 2025 at 4:58 PM
It was a fantastic and mostly steady rain for hours. So, so, so appreciated.

Thanks so much for sharing. I know Jennie and have done surveys with her. If I saw an ELEGANT trogon (I'm like her - gonna dig in my heels), you'd hear me whooping for joy down in Tucson for sure. I've not seen one. ☹️

Ducks would be a surprise out here, but one year I DID watch a giant group of pelicans - YES, pelicans - fly by during migration. I about ... well, you can be imaginative. It involves a verb that starts with a "C' and ends in "... my pants."😂 I got some great pics.

This might be a stretch on the upper San Pedro (we're lower - meaning further north... Always confusing, since this river flows south to north). But I've been participating in this. And I'll do beaver surveys on Dec. 6, as well!

This is ducktastic (and turtle-icious, and dragonfly-acious). Such fun.

So cute!

Boy - I just UNLOADED in my response. Professionally, of course. We are dealing with similar mining threats (exploration already underway) in the Sky Islands of the Galiuros, next to Aravaipa.
