Sometimes you find a spare spoon in the back of the drawer and using it to create something that brings you both joy and nourishment is a pretty good use of that spoon.

Protip: I get a lot of my birds (and encourage myself to get up early) by putting my phone by the window to catch the morning chorus.

Wildlife or your dog would leave behind pits. If there aren't a ton of pits in the yard, I'm afraid you might have fruit-snitching neighbors. We had one show up to our avocado tree with a laundry basket at 2am once. Unfortunate, but at least you don't have a bunch of rotten fruit around?
