This weekend I refined more of the highlights, as well as most of the rocket battery before taking on the first steps painting the large pauldrons.

I'll probably keep tinkering with most of this, as usual, but I think it's in a good spot already.

This week I got started on the next commission project!
'Blade ZERO', from Neko Galaxy.

I love this piece so much and am excited to really embrace the cyberpunk+synthwave theme with the painting as well.

I set off with this progress after the first ~3h of painting.

On saturday I painted some color into the black highlights as well as lots of the osl emitted by the big rune of the base.

I went back over Aethon Shaans head!

Primarily to refine the light hitting the face, which was inconsistent before and while doing that, it also improved the expression, I believe.

First step of actually painting the dread!
This was also the first step of black nmm.

In essence I used the white to indicate just the placement of the light scenario.

I'll glaze it down and add color to it later.
First I just make sure the placement is consistent!'

I painted one of Aethon Shaans alternate helmets this week.

This'll be my entry in the GitGud monthly challenge, which is "Space Marine Head" this November.

I tried to rly push myself with the face, and gave it a fun little backdrop as well. Just for flavor tho.

After 5 years of waiting for the right moment (painting ability) to paint this massive resin chunk of a dreadnought, I finally decided it's time!

With 32 magnets in arms, weapons, head and rocket-battery it's basically an action figure as well.
