Three weeks after the MWRA proposed a plan that would allow for untreated sewage to continue to be dumped into the Charles and Mystic Rivers forever, watershed groups filed a motion in court on Tuesday to intervene in the ongoing federal lawsuit that led to the cleanup of Boston Harbor

We are proud to join the Nature for Massachusetts Coalition to launch the Protect Water & Nature Ballot Initiative 🌿🌊
This would raise $100 million every year to protect and conserve water and nature (without raising taxes!) by allocating revenue from the existing state sales tax on sporting goods.

The Massachusetts Department of Public Health (DPH) today (Oct. 16) announced its recommendation to rescind the cyanobacteria bloom advisory in the Charles River upstream of the MIT boathouse, no longer affecting the Head of the Charles Regatta course.

We're seeing low water levels across the watershed, and last week Massachusetts Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs declared a Level 2 Significant Drought for parts of the Charles River watershed, and Level 1 Mild Drought for the remaining watershed area. (1/2)
