I know the feeling. You want to be able to have a space to just vent the shit that you can't say or do anywhere else, but you can't do that. That sucks. Everybody needs that space.

I mean, you're not wrong. That's one of those things that can be for good or bad. My wife helped me to become a better person by playing to that ego and then slyly course-correcting our life.
I can definitely see where you're coming from, though. Not a lot of the course-corrections happen.
