After a multi-year struggle, I finally got a doctor to listen to me. And after a month on HRT I can confirm that I now identify as human again. Holy shit, I feel so good!! Anxiety is SO down that I felt happy in the grocery car park today and took a selfie. Yay for gender affirming care!

It’s wet, it’s cool, and I just went and picked up a fresh bag of flour. Very happy with this one, even if I wasn’t organised enough for sourdough.

Just had to evict Russell from my kitchen. Again. The bugger hid under the fridge and I had to tempt him out into grabbing range with a line of kibble. He has now been relocated to the garden (again) with a little more kibble and a bowl of fresh water. He’s getting so big!!

Today’s multi grain sourdough offering - soy, linseed, almond, chia, hempseed and pumpkin seed. Slowly improving every time!

We had a storm today and I just went out to see how everything has got on and found my rosemary bush full of bees and looking particularly brilliant in the evening sun. Never seen so many flowers on it before. Also spotted another little friend hiding. Bonus pic of my cat pretending to be a dog.

Made dosa for the first time today, filled with a gloriously spiced potato filling. And then, because there’s not such thing as too many carbs, I also baked sourdough. 🍽️ #foodsky

Power has been out since 8pm last night. Got the generator unpacked and 15 minutes later I now have (limited) power and internet. Currently sitting with a coffee and waiting for my medal. Yay #Sydney storms!

The rental crisis continues: just evicted this tenant after multiple noise complaints. The pipe is in my office btw. Froggy is now relocated to slightly more suitable surroundings at the bottom of the garden. No more 3am toilet surprises for me, thank goodness. #WildOz

I literally yelled at clouds yesterday. It was 38C at the time and they were refusing to rain on me. They have since adjusted their attitude and it’s now 19C and raining nicely.

I praise the day my white ass was shown the glory that is Korean cold noodles (mul-naengmyeon). I call down blessings upon the immigrants that took a chance on coming to Australia and opened a grocery store that keeps ready to use broth and noodles and kimchi of umpteen varieties. I may yet survive.
