Measles cases are rising.

As of April 3, the CDC reports 607 confirmed measles cases across 22 jurisdictions. Six outbreaks have been reported so far, with 93% of cases being outbreak-associated. This is a significant jump from 2024, which saw 285 cases and 16 outbreaks.

Hay que revisar la constitucionalidad de esta medida. El estado de excepción constitucional de emergencia es en “caso de grave alteración del orden público o de grave daño para la seguridad de la Nación”, lo que no se ha configurado.

Now that DOGE has entered FEMA, I’d like to say something about the importance of alerts and warnings. FEMA has a group called IPAWS, the Integrated Public Alert and Warning System, which is responsible for making sure you get warnings though all sorts of devices, basically for free. 1/
