So true, particularly in the US where any language other than English can be met with hostility in some cases. Hard to believe that at one time, people speaking and being educated in other langues was more common.
US was more multilingual not long ago.
"Creative Multilingualism: A Manifesto" advocates for the idea that language diversity and creativity are mutually enriching. It is structured as a manifesto comprised of 10 major statements which are explored via case studies.
