Weird, though: Their website says there's daikon, and there's daikon in the pics on the menu . . . ???

Just remembered today to ask my 2nd gen Vietnamese American friend whether any region of Vietnam serves banh mi without daikon, and she said no, why would they, it's not a banh mi without daikon. I was like, "Ummm, because Buffalo?" 😂

They didn’t put too much daikon in this time. It’s almost as if they were trying to subvert my photo mission. But you can see a little bit in there — and it’s plenty enough for flavor, with the amount of vinegar they use to pickle it and the carrots. 😊

My favorite banh mi place was closed for the holiday! Will try again later in the week.

The literal small things … 😅

DO IT. I’ll order one today, too, so we can have dueling banh mi cross-sections.

Whoa. I wonder if daikon is a north/south thing for banh mi. I can’t remember which is which, but only half of Vietnam does all the sprouts and sweet basil and other stuff in pho!

Damned overachiever . . . 😅

Amazon?

Did you intentionally order the banh mi without the daikon (don't pronounce it like how they do on Food Network, and no one needs to get hurt)? Because . . . there appears to be no daikon, and that is possibly against the rules.
