I think this glass I got while thrifting a while back was originally intended for whiskey, I similarly like to feel fancy when putting beverages in it, it’s a neat little glass.
Also my family likes to put speaking cider in wine glasses for holidays which also a fun fancy feeling

Haven’t posted this art of my sona on monitoring duty by @mjsty.bsky.social in a while. It’s very cute art, but also hasn’t been terribly relevant in a while since all of the field work I’ve done this year has been survey or excavation.
Part of me misses it, but survey and excavation is more fun

Closest I’ve got for dead serious is this one based on a time I had a really windy and cold survey in New Mexico. (Most of the time this meerkat is grinning like the dork he is)

Man the way rockets got moved to the launch pad in the Space Race is such a cool thing in and of itself. The Soviets with their rail systems at Baikonur and NASA's Crawler Transporter are such impressive bits of engineering in their own right, even if overshadowed by the rockets they carried.
