We don’t have to pretend the past didn’t happen, and we don’t have to excuse it. But if we want to prevent this cycle from repeating, we have to allow people who reconsider their positions to be part of the solution.

This country has been through a tremendous amount of political and social trauma, and real healing is only possible if we make room for those who step away from extremism.

I agree that tough, direct questions absolutely still need to be asked — accountability doesn’t disappear just because someone has shifted their tone. But at the same time, we can’t afford to shut the door on people who are genuinely beginning to see things differently.

Yes! I’m tired of Schumer and Pelosi leading our party. We have some great, intelligent firebrands who can hold their own and get our message across to generations of voters. AOC, Crockett, and Pete can all easily answer this call! It’s time for S and P to pass the torch.

I’m so sorry. This will be hard to read, I know, but my dog did this when he was elderly, too. We found him under a bush curled up, alive, but nowhere near where he ever went. When we mentioned it to our vet, he said most animals do this when they know they’re about to pass. My dog died 3 days later.
