The XR document is a start, but nowhere near good enough as a guide for surviving climate risk and rising temperatures.

I would be happy to advise of a more comprehensive guide.

"You MUST listen to the science. We didn't just elect you. We've given you our trust. You are about to hear from leading scientists. I beseach you to hear their truth"

The National Emergency Briefing @nebriefing.bsky.social in Westminster today is a call to action for politicians.

This is how our government has been corrupted:

1) Donors give huge sums to elect politicians to office
2) Elected officials rewrite rules in the donors' favor
3) Donors make huge profit
4) Repeat

We must get big money out of politics.

It is the root of our dysfunction.

The U.S. cement industry emits more CO₂ than most countries. Federal programs were helping cut pollution — until the Trump administration canceled 21 key EPA grants.
It’s the second-most-used substance on Earth — and a major climate threat
The cement industry has set ambitious climate goals. But as federal funding dries up, its path to decarbonization is in doubt.

What a fantastic thread. Page turner history books. We need a pop chart equivalent!
Ok BlueSky: what are your favorite history books in terms of sheer page-turning, narrative propulsion? Thinking along the line of Killers of the Flower Moon, etc. Nonfiction chronicles that read like novels or movies.
