Just a $50 gift to CRCL helps us plant a native tree. Their roots hold the ground in place, create a home for birds & fish, & help slow the loss of our wetlands over time🌊

Keep our wetlands thriving for the people and places you love! Make a donation here: https://secure.qgiv.com/for/donatetocrcl/

A muddy, marshy 2025✨🌱
“My favorite memories from this year were our summer marsh grass plantings. They're silly, lighthearted events where we crawl around through the muck and enjoy the flora and fauna with volunteers who become friends.”

Reflecting on 2025🌅
“My favorite memory is watching the sunrise over our dune grass planting in Grand Isle. It's amazing that in my first few months with CRCL we have been able to go to so many parts of my home state that I have never seen before.”

Tom DeCarlo took this image during construction of our oyster shell reef at Cocodrie. According to Brian Roberts, executive director of LUMCON and member of our Coastal Advisory Council, the boardwalk was built over the shoreline, which has receded since. The oyster shell will help slow recession.

A new addition to Restoration HQ! 🌱

Our restoration team collected 2,000 mangrove propagules and potted them in our greenhouse. Once they grow, we’ll plant them to help mitigate erosion and provide crucial habitat. We made sure to collect local genetics to increase their chances of survival.
