This is what I came here for! Would love to get a ranking. I find Asian pears are actually good to cook with if you want pear chunk because they are maximally firm, but the variability in flavor is so incredible that it's almost not worth it unless you have a hookup. Lotta tasteless pears out there.

I just bought some pears and now I'm staring at the time since this post waiting to find out if I screwed up
