He's an apparently ineffective councilman whose constituents are papering my Facebook feed with stories about how he dropped the ball on their needs, failed to respond to genuine local concerns, and has gotten into a stupid tiff with City Hall about some permit he wanted. The strong word I'm getting from people in his district, me not knowing him or his work, is he's not the guy for the job. That this may be an opportunistic play. My spidey senses are giving me a vibe about this guy.

The Maryland Oligarchy is our fucking problem.
Former U.S. Rep. John Delaney (D) offered a more nuanced analysis on X, recognizing Mamdani's appeal to "base" Democratic voters, but asking, "How do people reconcile the fact that (more centrist) Andrew Cuomo's campaign was funded by mega donors and he won the low income neighborhoods and (more progressive) Zohran's campaign was grass roots and he won the wealthy neighborhoods?"

Oh wow. Yeah.
The land that comprises North Four Corners Park was acquired in the mid-1940s. It was a plot of land for temporary homes for the military during World War II. It was a whites-only neighborhood for a short while. The park grew in size to 14 acres in 1998. The park features a recreation building, playground, ballfields, tennis courts, and a picnic area.
