Relationship of Command by At the Drive-In is such a perfect album. Obviously it’s bursting with energy but it just has so many hooks effortlessly dropped throughout.
I think one thing that’s easy to overlook is just how tight the songwriting is with regards to structure.

Started putting together an Omar Rodriguez Lopez/Mars Volta cover. The rhythm of the melody is hard to pin down so probably haven’t got it 100% perfect, but progress is progress.

Finally made it out the Nintendo shop in Fukuoka that opened back in November. It’s amazing. Managed to walk away only getting a gatcha of a controller, despite the Zelda music pumping through the store hitting my Pavlovian lizard brain making me want to spend all my money.

Dragon Quest X offline was on sale on iOS, took a plunge and said why not. It’s a strange package overall. Feels premium in some ways and really really cheap in others. But I’m enjoying it. Currently a little green dude.

Twin peaks series 2 - there’s a character with such a bad wig and moustache that I’m unsure if it’s just the series being weird or they’re going to take it off at some point in an obvious reveal. Could go either way at this point.
