Chris Jansing: Do you support him as leader going forward?
Mark Kelly: The Senate found ourselves in a situation we haven't been in before.
Jansing: Given two opportunities you didn't voice support for Schumer -
Kelly: Schumer and leadership are dealing with an incredibly complex situation.

Chris Jansing: Do you think Chuck Schumer's leadership position is in jeopardy and should it be?
Mark Kelly: As I've said, Trump is irrational. People should be upset with him.

Q: 8 Senate Democrats voted to open the government, are they "courageous?"
Hakeem Jeffries: I don't have much to say about those individuals, they're gonna have to explain themselves to their constituents and the American People. Democrats led by Chuck Schumer have waged a valiant fight.

House Speaker and religious fanatic Mike Johnson compares Congress going on a paid vacation under his watch to the biblical story of Jesus being tempted by Satan in the desert for 40 days. Yes, this is actually what he thinks he's doing.

Bernie Sanders: I am glad that Republicans are finally being forced to actually talk about healthcare. I am not impressed by the ideas they have brought forth, but at least there's a discussion. Overwhelmingly, people do not want to see ACA subsidies ended. Not complicated.
November 9, 2025 at 12:39 AM
Bernie Sanders: We need universal healthcare, and we must pass a Medicare for All, single-payer program to provide comprehensive coverage to all with zero out-of-pocket expenses, and full freedom of choice regarding healthcare providers.
November 9, 2025 at 12:28 AM
Bernie Sanders: There was a wave of disgust at Republicans all over this country from Maine to California, where people said no Trumpism and no to healthcare proposals that would throw so many people off healthcare. What Democrats are saying is not what I'm talking about - I would go a lot further.
November 9, 2025 at 12:04 AM
Bernie Sanders: "Trump, if you throw 15 million people off Medicaid, 50,000 of them will die unnecessarily every year, and that is unbelievable that in the richest country in the history of the world, that we would allow that."
November 8, 2025 at 11:45 PM
Bernie Sanders: Because of Trump not willing to fund SNAP, 16 million children will go hungry, and Republicans in the House of Representatives are on a paid vacation. That is why we are in a shutdown. What will the negotiations be about - they will be about the healthcare crisis this country faces.
November 8, 2025 at 11:43 PM
Bernie Sanders: The reason for this shutdown is not complicated. If the majority party does not have the 60 votes to pass a budget, they have to sit down and negotiate with the minority party. For the first time in history, Republicans are saying, our way or the highway, take it or leave it.
