I would strongly suggest Linux. There are lots of variants but my favourite is Ubuntu.

Easy to install and use and quite polished. Good for people new to Linux, and for those who don’t have time to deep dive into its tech intricacies

I was gonna suggest the same!!
It’s fairly easy and straightforward, got lots of support, tons of drivers and even gaming via proton/steam is really decent!

I dual boot Ubuntu and Win11, and some games run better on Ubuntu!
