Because "after that deed is done, fade to black & the rest is a mystery" COULD BE a way to end it? And we were in the sort of theatre where everyone was trying to be cool & arty & definitely not ruin the moment.

It was 20 minutes before we got to see the proper (IMO happy) ending & credits :)

Arthouse indie local theatre seeing the VVitch. Right as [the scene toward the end with the book] ended, the reel stopped -perhaps the person in the projector room had fallen asleep or gone out for a smoke? The screen was black? But there were no credits rolling? Nobody knew if the film was over.

It's my understanding that this is a canon event if I'm using free tutorials and it will get better if I can just make it through the donut gauntlet.

It’s so telling how a magazine dedicated almost exclusively to ginning up examples of leftist overreach has to make up or misrepresent them to get articles out of them. If the left was so bad you wouldn’t have to lie about us all the time!

I could be a Pagan in a lot of different ways. I don't have to be a UU for respectability or kids or out of a lack of choice. I choose Unitarian Universalism because it is anti-fascist not just as a stance, but in its core moral values. And that REALLY matters these days. /13

When the fascists today look different than the ones of the 30's and 40's, or in the next generation, anchoring these principles in Love means that when you see Hate marching in the streets, you aren't measuring by aesthetics.

Love: all of these flow from and return to Love.

Doing this from a love of living, love of people, love of community, rather than purely out of “hating nazis,” so that it gets grounded and recentered even as anti-human, anti-compassionate, anti-society movements go through chameleon maneuvers. /10

Human dignity for all means supporting those falling through the cracks & mending the cracks if we can. Not shunning "degenerates" out based on shifting goalposts. /9

Transformation: All things change, and we can change with it toward the future, not try to retreat to a rose-tinted past. We are capable of change as individuals, as communities, as society. Everything changes around us & we can adapt. There is no Golden Age to retvrn to: the only way is forward. /7

Justice: All are treated fairly, with due process for all, or else nobody is safe. IDK if any system is truly just, but it is something to strive toward. Stripping justice away for "control & order" ain't it. Justice is hard work, but the alternative is monstrous. /6

Interdependence is in alignment with decentralization, with organic systems, with redundant systems of support, with mutual aid, with multiple ways of being & ways to be involved.

If things lean away from interdependent thinking, they can become rigid, become linear, become hierarchical. /4
